The Bachelor of Science in Digital Technology & Design program, with a focus on Graphics Communications, combines technical knowledge with artistic skills. Concentration Courses

Credit Hours: 3

Students will learn basic computer skills that can be used immediately, throughout college and beyond. Emphasis is on learning basic office applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation graphics.

This course is an introduction to Windows programming using Microsoft Visual Studio or a similar integrated development environment. Students will learn to write programs using an object-oriented programming language and incorporating sequence, selection, and repetition structures.

Prerequisite: ISBA 1503

This course focuses on the instruction and practice in the writing of poetry, fiction, and drama. May be repeated with a change of literary category.

Introduction to design literacy, color theory, typography, composition, and digital design software.

Course features app design concepts, prototyping app interfaces and user testing.

The internship features supervised work in a professional graphic design setting. May be repeated for credit.

User Experience Design focusing on the complete workflow of iOS app development. This course requires three or more hours per week outside of class. Restricted to B.S. in Digital Technology & Design majors.

Prerequisite: a grade of C or better in GRFX 3733 and GRFX 3783.

This course focuses on the creative workflow of iOS app development.

This course focuses on issues of how human culture impacts the individual’s behavior, attitudes and mental health.

An overview of the preparation of digital graphics, photographs and text for publication, and of their interrelationships. Includes application of current digital publishing software programs.

Comprehensive overview of the major pre-publishing workflow elements and the options or their interrelationships.

This Course examines electronic publishing and publication design using desktop publishing software programs.

Credit Hours: 3

Study and basic application of the relationships between the media tools of sight, sound, and motion and the theories that have evolved around them.

Admissions Requirement


10th, 11th, and 12th Grade Transcripts with a GPA of 2.3/4.0.


High School Certificate with a percentage no less than 77-79%.

Proof of English Proficiency (5.5 IELTS or 61 TOEFL).
