Concentration & Major Courses

Foundations in coding using Swift language. Practical application of the tools, techniques, and concepts needed to build a basic iOS app.

This course reviews the foundations in coding fundamentals using Kotlin coding language. Practical application of the tools, techniques and concepts needed to build a basic Android app are also taught.

This course is an introduction to the concepts of good website design as well as an introduction to HTML and CSS.

Advanced HTML and CSS techniques to create sophisticated web page layouts that adhere to standards-based guidelines; introduction to client-side web interactivity using the jQuery library. Each student is required to create a full featured, graphic design portfolio website. It is expected that students will spend a minimum of three additional clock hours per week on work outside the scheduled class time. Prerequisites, a grade of C or better in DIGI 2703.

Continuation of digital design work with an emphasis on development of personal direction. This course requires three or more hours per week outside of class. May be repeated for credit. Prerequisite: a grade of C or better in DIGI 3703.

Introduction to design literacy, color theory, typography, composition, and digital design software.

Course features app design concepts, prototyping app interfaces and user testing.

This is an advanced project-based course for creating applications for Android and IOS devices. Students use their knowledge from previous courses to develop fully publishable applications within small teams. (students take twice)

Course focuses on the creative workflow of iOS app development.

Instruction and practice in the writing of poetry, fiction, and drama. May be repeated with change of literary category.

The internship features supervised work in a professional graphic design setting. May be repeated for credit.

Students will learn basic computer skills that can be used immediately, throughout college and beyond. Emphasis is on learning basic office applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation graphics.

An introduction to Windows programming using Microsoft Visual Studio or a similar integrated development environment. Students learn to write programs using an object oriented programming language and incorporating sequence, selection, and repetition structures. Prerequisite, ISBA 1503. Fall.

Students in the B.S. in Digital Technology & Design – Web Design online program must take the following courses.

Students will take either DIGI 2003 or DIGI 2013.

Admissions Requirement


10th, 11th, and 12th Grade Transcripts with a GPA of 2.3/4.0.


High School Certificate with a percentage no less than 77-79%.

Proof of English Proficiency (5.5 IELTS or 61 TOEFL).

Graduates of the bachelor of science digital technology & design in concentration to website design program will be prepared for the following roles:

Front End Web Developer

Responsible for the visual and interactive aspects of a website or web application. Their primary focus is on creating an engaging user experience by implementing the design and functionality that users interact with directly.

UI/UX Developer

A UI/UX developer combines both UI design and development and UX research and design to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for users interacting with a digital product or application.

Web Designer/Developer

A web designer/developer is a versatile professional who combines skills in both design and development to create visually appealing and functional websites. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities across various stages of the web development process.

E-commerce Designer

An eCommerce designer plays a crucial role in creating an online shopping experience that is visually appealing, user-friendly, and conducive to driving sales and customer satisfaction.
