Arkansas State University Qatar is proud to announce a productive and forward-looking meeting between Dr. Murat Ünal and the Ambassador of Türkiye to Qatar, M. Mustafa Göksu, aimed at exploring new avenues for educational collaboration and academic excellence.
The discussions focused on creating meaningful opportunities for the Turkish community in Qatar through Arkansas State University Qatar’s distinctive Bachelor’s degree programs, Master’s degree programs, and the highly successful English language training initiatives offered by the Global Studies Institute (GSI). Both parties explored ways to expand access to quality higher education, professional development, and English language learning opportunities for Turkish residents seeking internationally recognized qualifications and career advancement.
As an encouraging first step in this collaboration, Reda Yanina from the GSI team has already begun delivering English language instruction to a member of the Embassy of Türkiye. Building on this positive start, both organizations expressed enthusiasm about expanding the partnership to benefit a broader audience in the near future.
The meeting highlighted a shared commitment to supporting lifelong learning, academic achievement, and professional growth. With approximately 22,000 Turkish nationals living in Qatar, this partnership has the potential to provide valuable educational pathways through undergraduate studies, graduate programs, professional certifications, and English language courses in Qatar tailored to the needs of the community.
