PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Specific program outcomes are listed below. The Master of Science in Education in Educational Leadership program graduates will have:
  • Develops skills in instructional leadership, school administration, and decision-making.
  • Covers school finance, personnel management, and organizational leadership.
  • Features a capstone experience focused on applied leadership practice.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. An ability to demonstrate professional dispositions, educational theory, and practical leadership skills necessary to serve as effective building-level administrators and instructional leaders.
  2. An ability to foster organizational cultures that support continuous improvement, collaborative practices, and high levels of achievement for all students.
  3. An ability to translate research-based concepts into meaningful school leadership practices through authentic, performance-based field activities and capstone experiences.
  4. An ability to apply skills in budgeting, resource allocation, personnel management, and curriculum supervision to effectively lead school operations and instructional programs.
  5. An ability to develop and sustain positive relationships with families, community stakeholders, and education agencies to support student learning, school improvement, and shared goals.

    • ELCI 6323 – Elementary School Curriculum Semester Hours: 3
    • ELCI 6523 – Secondary School Curriculum Semester Hours: 3

Grade of “C” or better required for all Major Requirements

    • ELAD 6003 – School and Community Relations Semester Hours: 3
    • ELAD 6033 – Administration and Supervision of Special Education Semester Hours: 3
    • ELAD 6053 – Planning and Resources Allocation Semester Hours: 3
    • ELAD 6073 – School Law Semester Hours: 3
    • ELAD 6203 – Ethical Leadership Semester Hours: 3
    • ELAD 6593 – Supervised Internship Semester Hours: 3
    • ELCI 6063 – Curriculum Management Semester Hours: 3
    • ELCI 6083 – Supervision and Evaluation of Teaching Semester Hours: 3
    • ELAD 6573 – Leading School Improvement Semester Hours: 3
    • ELFN 6773 – Introduction to Statistics and Research Semester Hours: 3

Total: 33 Credit Hours
