Arkansas State University Qatar (A-State Qatar) team members Mohamed Ouda, and Dr Murat Unal visited Qatar-Finland International School in Doha (https://qatarfinlandschool.com/), and caught up with Anne Dullaghan, Head of the School and her team members. The A-State team learned about the school`s caring environment and student-centred learning methods that inspire students to become globally minded, active citizens who are balanced lifelong learners. We look forward to seeing its graduates apply to A-State`s unique American Bachelor programs (https://astateqatar.com/study-at-a-state/) and welcome teachers in A-State`s Master in Educational Leadership in the future. The visit gave us great insights into the differentiating factors of the Finnish educational system, and a much better understanding for the context in which students are educated. This will be vital when assessing future applications.
